A couple additional things to consider: back then we did not have monster Honduras. We negociated up to plus 40 fifferential for our arabicas despite the surging ICE to 3.18/pound. Now, 16/17 what is left cannot get better than minus 10 with no interest. New crop from Peru is having a hard time finding a home. Colombia is not doing so great either as Nagual has confirmed. Our new to be 17/18 is hardly on a positive diff, rare for this time of the year and so those of us who usually book in advance are still waiting This is not specific to one or two trade houses, but with everybody including those who do very good business on a yearly basis.
Honduras changed the coffee world, gives the market more flexibility than before.
