what you say is exactly how economy should work, but I see a lot of distortions and inequality in the market.
Also your suggestion that half of the ideal yield is still good enough for you hints there is enough room in the purchase price yet.
I think what Alf was pointing out is that sending such signals is not helping you to get better price, to the contrary it justifies bearish sentiment.
Basically, with anything that even remotely sounds like you will have more coffee you will "need to sell", the traders are fully ready to exploit it for their benefit and your harm.
Sorry to say that... but you guys need to "employ" new ways and tactics how to get more money for yourselves and less for the middlemen, because end-user price is not declining.
