MoY, historically when we had Endosulfan we never accrued losses more than 8%. The worst possible thing is to leave infested cherries unpicked on the ground. The Broca strives on the rotten fruit in the soil and multiplies itself. The cycle can become really bad if you have an early flowering, the increased population goes to the new green cherries from the early onset. Th second cycle can be much worse than the first because of the increased population and because cherries are attacked from the early stages. The diseased beans never fill and make it to maturity, and yields could decrease much more. It is so bad, that some people pick the early cherries to break the cycle and burn the contaminated fruit, or boil it in hot water.
