Coffee Traders' Forum - A Discussion about Coffee Futures Trading
Coffee Traders Discussion Forum
I think we need to keep an eye on things here. I am seeing increased Central American selling interest, with some higher grades but a lot of lower grade coffee on the market, and there is some bidding out there too, although not too much. Yet, the futures are holding so maybe we are finally running out of steam on the down side. Short crops in Nicaragua and El Salvador this year, but good crops in Guatemala I think and Honduras too. Steady differentials at somewhat better levels than a few months ago, although not great at all. But at least stable and at least in an area where maybe some business can get done. They could pop the market a bit with the options off. Some talk in the market that the roasters are short bought futures and maybe the mills are short bought as well at origin, but that I am still tracking down. Enjoy Friday and remember to change the clocks in the US this weekend!
