Robusta coffee prices in Brazil are at a minimum of the last 2 years.
It is important to observe that the fall of the robust coffee in the Brazilian market was much higher than the fall of arabica. One of the reasons, in my opinion, was the drought in recent years that the region has gone through, causing prices to rise a lot in 2016.
Since September 2017 it has rained well in the robusta producing regions in the state of Espírito Santo/Br, which is ensuring a good grain production and granulation. Imo, this is also one of the main reason prices fall so much in the Brazilian market, although in London they have not fallen so much.
The Brazilian conilon producers are very dissatisfied with the current prices, alleging a loss in activity.
