Kenya Coffee Export Revenue Falls in First Half of 2017-2018 Season

CoffeeNetwork (New York) – The latest data from the Nairobi Coffee Exchange showed that revenue from coffee exports totaled KSH10.4 billion ($103 million) in the first half of the 2017-2018 season (September to March). This represents an 11% decline over the same period last coffee year.

The fall in revenues was attributed to lower prices on the Intercontinental Exchange.

The price per bag of 50 kg on NCE fell to $244 from $260, and a decline by 5.8% in the volumes traded.
