China can't get a shipment to the mainland before the imposition of duties. As a result, very unlikely they will be buying more U.S. soybeans until a trade deal is in place. Given the impasse, don't see that happening soon. The big trade is long bean oil and short meal. See chart below. Any spread that earns $1,000 in a day is a good spread. Corn is the most fundamentally strong of the group. Wheat is all weather sensitive in non U.S. growing areas. Huge corn and bean acreage expansion next year in Latin America. China will also plant more beans. Strength in the US dollar is a bearish dynamic.
