My two cents worth would say that the dry weather now leads to "floaters" which would lower the yield.

Dry weather in Argentina and Brazil now leads to more severe freezes in the coffee belts. Many Floridia orange freezes are 6 months away from USA Midwest droughts.

The Weather Map does show dryness in the grain belt in China, besides many other places.

Again just my two cents. Late flowering of the Arabica crop is a bigger determinator of the harvest period, which put the harvest 1 month later than normal this year.
