I remember maybe 1-0 or so years ago, not sure the exact time, there was a huge freeze in Brazil. Coffee did nothing much in price and production in Brazil was not really affected. The reason is that the production has moved far enough north that it is almost impossible to get a freeze even severe enough to cause damage. This was a major event, but it still was not strong enough to get the crops. So, it better be one incredible freeze to get anyone here super excited in my opinion. Roasters here are substituting previous crop centrals and lower ends for Brazils these days, and the coffee is in fact flowing. Diffs for these coffees are still low. Better interest showing for higher grades but not fabulous. If the market can hold here then we have the chance for a pretty important low in April and a retest now. If not, things could finally push to what some bears think, which is in the 90's. So an interesting time for everyone. Industry still active and the demand is being met.
